The Beer Sins of Yosemite National Park

We ended up at Yosemite National Park over the Memorial Day weekend - my family and a friend's - and ... it was amazing. Iconic. Beautiful. Breath-taking. Inspiring. Everything you have heard or read about Yosemite is true. It is massive and huge and powerful and deserving of our preservation Their food court? Not so much. Confusing lines. Sad, burnt discs that once resembled hamburgers are yours for the taking for only $5.50, not including fries.  But at least they had beer, I thought.  Well, technically yes, they did have beer in their coolers. Along with Coronas and some other mass-produced names, they also had an IPA, a stout and a helle. Yay! No yay! Here is the brand they serve at Yosemite National Park: Base Camp beers. Out of Portland, f*cking Oregon. I have nothing against Base Camp beers if on tap somewhere and that's all there is. But I do have something against Base Camp beer being served at Yosemite National Park. A landmark. O
